Who is IE?
Innovate-Educate is a national industry-led partnership with education and government leaders to develop and coordinate new, innovative efforts to inspire and engage education professionals and students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), resulting in a competitive workforce for the U.S. We are focused on empowering improvements in P-20 education by leveraging the leadership and skills of global technology corporations and education thought leaders.
There are at least three roles Innovate Educate can play in solving our national education crisis:
- Build strong collaborations at the state-level to create a broader U.S. STEM network
- Identify successful models that are improving STEM performance and mobilize the resources to scale these models.
- Challenge companies to get engaged in ways that harness their core competencies.
Innovate Educate recognizes the critical need for private-sector leadership in STEM education and has an “All Hands on Deck” approach that will serve as a catalyst to position 21st century skills at the center of P-20 education in the United States. Our country needs a broad national movement like Innovate Educate to help coordinate and focus the efforts of all stakeholders to strengthen America’s economic competitiveness, broaden access to the increasing number of high-paying jobs that require STEM skills, and help prepare the next generation of workers and innovators.
