Registration is now open for Innovate-Educate / NMSTE Conference 2010. This annual event will provide two days of dynamic collaboration that brings together state and national leaders to continue creating a national education movement that supports improvements in education. Our goal is to help engage industry, education, and government to coordinate existing efforts and collaborate on new ideas that better engage students specifically in STEM fields. Educators from throughout New Mexico and the United States are invited along with Superintendents, Principals Media and Technology Specialists, Technology Industry Partners, School Board members, student technology organizations and higher education leaders. This event will be collaborative and help develop important public/private partnerships to transform education in New Mexico. Other informal partners encouraged to attend include museums, public libraries and state organizations.

This Week’s Featured Speaker

Between now and the conference, we will be highlighting nationally-recognized speakers that will participate in this conference.
Charles Fadel, Global Education Lead for Cisco Systems is our first featured speaker for the 2010 Conference. Charles serves
on both the Innovate-Educate and Partnership for 21st Skills Board of Directors (Cisco is a founding member of both organizations).

Charles is the author of the recently published book “21st Century Skills – Learning for Life in our Times” and is an expert in
advancing and transforming education through the use of innovative technologies. He has consulted with a wide variety of
education ministries/boards including Massachusetts, France, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Tunisia and the Dominican Republic, to
name a few, and has worked on education projects with more than thirty countries and states. Read full bio here.
